This is a wonderfully sweet picture. It shows Alan Gottlieb holding a check for $399,950.00 from the coffers of the City of Chicago. Alan is the founder and Executive Vice President of the Second Amendment Foundation.
The SAF won a Supreme Court ruling that overturned the Chicago handgun ban on June 28, 2010. At that time, Alan said “This morning’s high court ruling clearly shows that the right of the individual citizen to have a gun is constitutionally protected in every corner of the United States. We are already preparing to challenge other highly-restrictive anti-gun laws across the country. Our objective is to win back our firearms freedoms one lawsuit at a time.”
Close to two years later, The City of Chicago finally wrote a check to pay for some of the legal bills the SAF spent in accomplishing this historic victory. I am sure Alan Gottlieb will put this $400K to good use in defending the Second Amendment for all of us.

Do you know that there was a bill in congress that attempted to make a law allowing Guns to be seized in times of emergency (and I mean ALL guns, from ALL citizens.) Obama voted AGAINST it and Hillbilly voted FOR it. Scarey thought because the government also gets to decide when there is an emergency!!!!!
